However, Egypt is in its ‘golden age’ from 2613 to 2494 BC.
Gold saw the start of a golden age for Egyptian art and architecture, as Pharaohs built magnificent temples, pyramids and tombs for themselves and their families.
Its magnificence was never to be repeated.
